Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-29
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Cassius, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service. These terms are between you and the operator of Cassius.
2. The Service
Cassius is a spatial AI workspace: chat, notepads and media placed as panes on one infinite floor, operated from the keyboard.
It is in private beta. It is unfinished, it changes without notice, and features may be added, altered or removed at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, whenever we need to.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use Cassius: one account per person, at an email address you control. You must be at least 13 years old to hold one.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what is done through your account. Tell us at support@cassius.chat if you believe it has been used without your permission.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- attack, probe or disrupt the service, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- circumvent the beta gate, our rate limits, or any other access control;
- use the service to harm or harass another person;
- resell the service, or spend our model budget in ways it was not meant for.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why.
5. Your Content
What you write, place and upload in Cassius is yours, and we claim no ownership of it.
You grant us the licence we need to run the service for you: to transmit what you send to the model provider you chose, and to process it as far as returning that model’s answer requires. The licence is non-exclusive, limited to operating the service, and it ends when you stop using Cassius.
You are responsible for what you put into Cassius and for having the right to put it there.
6. Our Property
Cassius, including the software, the interface, the design and the name, is ours. These terms grant you no rights in any of it beyond the right to use the service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or make derivative works from it, except where the law says you may.
7. Disclaimers
Cassius is provided as it is and as it happens to be available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
It is beta software. It may lose your work, refuse to load, or change under you without notice. When you are signed in we store your workspaces, conversations and notes on our servers; files you open stay in your browser. Keep anything you care about somewhere else as well.
Model output is generated. It may be wrong, we do not verify it, we do not endorse it, and it is not professional advice of any kind.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of your use of Cassius.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not permit these limits. Where that is so, they apply as far as they are permitted and no further.
9. Termination
You may stop using Cassius at any time, and you may have your account deleted by writing to support@cassius.chat.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we discontinue the service. Sections 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 survive the end of these terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes To These Terms
We will change these terms as the product changes. When we do, we post the new version on this page and update the date under its title. This page is the notice; there is no other version of this document. Using Cassius after a change is how you accept it.
